About This Caster - ES6X2PHNBTBK
Set this 6-inch phenolic swivel on the steering corners of a heavy hand-pushed cart that steers light and then has to hold, where a ball bearing eases the push and the brake locks the wheel.
The wheel is hard resin-bonded phenolic from Pemco: it carries a heavy load on a small footprint and shrugs off oil, grease, and solvent from -45°F to 250°F. The precision ball bearing cuts the push effort so a loaded cart steers with one hand, the tall 6-inch wheel rolls over seams and debris, and the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the cart still. The brown phenolic wheel bolts on through a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate.
Ideal applications
- Steering corners of heavy hand-pushed carts that steer then hold
- Ball bearing for a light steer on a tall 6-inch wheel
- Tread lock holding a loaded swivel over rough floor
Skip the brake if the corner only rolls; the plain ES6X2PHNB is the no-brake version.
