About This Caster - ER6X2PODBTBK

Set this 6-inch polypropylene rigid on a tall hand-pushed cart corner that needs the easiest roll and a park brake together.

It pairs two things: the precision ball bearing keeps the push light between stops even at the tall 6-inch size, and the tread lock brake presses a pad onto the hard tread to stop the wheel rolling once parked, holding the cart on a grade from a rigid corner. The USA-made polypropylene wheel resists wash-down water and cleaners, riding firm with no cushion, the trade for that chemical resistance. It clears the worst thresholds, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate, and holds from -45 to 180°F.
