About This Caster - Metro Grip-Ring Stem
Pick this 5-inch grip-ring swivel to bring a Metro Super Erecta wire rack back to rolling, the plain swivel version that snaps into the post socket and steers freely on a Grey non-marking wheel.
The .845 grip-ring stem is the Metro fitment: it presses into the shelving post socket and locks with its spring ring, no adapter needed, and it fits Quantum and Uline wire units built the same way. The Grey thermoplastic rubber wheel rolls quietly and leaves no track on kitchen tile or a lab floor, while the precision ball bearing keeps a loaded rack moving with a light push. This is the freewheeling swivel for the corners that roll and steer, the most common caster to wear out and replace on a busy wire cart.
