About This Wheel - 41XE31-03
Specify this compact 3-1/4-inch glass-filled nylon wheel for a low stamping-scrap or trim cart that takes parts dropped into it, the small wheel that holds a high load and survives the impact.
A scrap or trim cart at a press gets metal dropped into it all shift and rolls low under the bin, which rules out both a tall wheel and a soft one. Colson's Maxim glass-filled nylon packs a high load class into a short 3-1/4-inch wheel and takes the drop shock without chipping, where a brittle wheel would split at the edge. The wide 2-inch tread steadies the load and the roller bearing carries it through slow moves. The ride is firm with no cushion.
Ideal applications
- Low stamping-scrap cart taking dropped trim at the press
- Compact bin cart under impact in a tight press cell
- Short high-load wheel where a brittle wheel chips
Skip the roller bearing in a wash-down bay; the 3-1/4-inch delrin glass-filled nylon 41XH31-03 rolls maintenance-free where water would rust a roller bearing.
Pairs with: a matching 3-1/4-inch by 2-inch caster fork to build a swivel or rigid caster, from the Caster Hardware collection.
Wrong fit? Wash-down, or a bigger wheel? See the 3-1/4-inch delrin 41XH31-03 and the 4-inch roller glass-filled nylon 41XE42-03.
Also in this family: the 4-inch roller 41XE42-03 and 5-inch roller 41XE52-03, or the glass-filled nylon wheel collection.
