About This Caster - 499-3RB
Choose this 3-inch braked swivel from the 499 series for an institutional cart that has to be parked and held at a station, where a non-marking wheel still needs to lock so the cart does not roll off.
The Faultless Rollock brake clamps the wheel to hold the cart in place, and the polyurethane tread carries the load non-marking on finished floors. The precision bearing keeps it rolling smoothly when released, and the top plate bolts to a flat cart frame. It is the braked partner to the 499 institutional swivel.
Ideal applications
- Institutional carts parked at a station or bench, finished floor
- Facility rigs that roll then brake to hold, sealed concrete
- Service carts needing a non-marking wheel and a wheel brake, multi-shift
Skip the Rollock brake on corners that only roll and steer; the plain 499-3TG costs less for the rolling corners.
