About This Caster - D4.08109.5PN SS
Choose this 8-inch Defender D4 swivel when a cart takes knocks and drops on rough floors and a brittle hard wheel would crack.
The swivel head guides the cart around equipment and into tight aisles, with a 6.375-inch swivel radius to allow, and the Commander HD high-impact polymer wheel absorbs shock and impact without chipping or shattering the way phenolic or glass-filled nylon can when a loaded cart hits a dock plate. It handles heat and chemicals to 250°F, and the tallest 8-inch wheel clears the biggest obstacles, on a stainless steel frame for corrosion. The precision ball bearing keeps both wheel and swivel turning smoothly. It is a hard wheel that can mark a soft floor. It serves from -45 to 250°F.
