About This Caster - D4.06108.459 SS WB29
Pick this 6-inch Defender D4 rigid when a quiet, non-marking cart must clear thresholds while carrying near the top of the soft-rubber range, pushed slowly.
The roller bearing carries the most weight of the three bearings at a slow pace, and it runs a grey flat-tread Performa wheel that rolls quietly and protects finished floors, its flat profile giving a planted footprint. The taller 6-inch wheel clears door tracks and joints with the least effort, on a stainless steel frame for corrosion. Even with the roller bearing, soft rubber tops out below a hard wheel, so this is for noise-sensitive areas that want a little more load. Rigid means it tracks straight at the rear. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
