Use this 4-inch Defender D4 swivel when a loaded sterilization or retort cart has to steer through steam and high heat slowly.
The swivel head steers the front of the cart, with a 3.375-inch swivel radius to allow, while the roller bearing gives that swivel the highest capacity of the three bearings at a slow, controlled pace. The blue hi-temp retort polypropylene wheel rides through autoclave and food-processing retort cycles where heat and steam would soften an elastomer, holding to 250°F and resisting sterile-processing chemicals, on a stainless steel frame for wash-down service. The wheel is hard with no cushioning and can mark a soft floor. This is the steam-grade heavy-load steering caster for sterile processing. It serves from -45 to 250°F.
