About This Caster - D4.04109.331 HT SS
Use this 4-inch Defender D4 swivel when a cart steers through a hot, oily area that would soften an elastomer wheel.
The wheel is hi-temp phenolic, a hard resin tread that carries high load and shrugs off heat, oils, and solvents where rubber or poly would fail, rated to 250°F. The swivel head steers the cart, with a 3.375-inch swivel radius to allow, while the Delrin plain bearing runs grease-free and corrosion-proof. The stainless steel frame suits wash-down and corrosive bays. Phenolic is rigid, so it rolls loud, passes floor shock through, can chip on impact, and can mark a soft floor. This is the heat-and-chemistry steering caster, not a quiet one. It serves from -45 to 250°F.
