About This Caster - D4.04108.839 HTBLK SS WB29
Reach for this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a heavy chemical-area cart is loaded near its limit and pushed slowly.
The roller bearing carries the most weight of the three bearings offered, suited to slow, sustained pushing, and the glass-filled nylon wheel matches it: the glass-fiber reinforcement gives the tread the strength to take heavy point loads while resisting chemicals and moisture. The stainless steel frame holds up in corrosive, sprayed-down bays, and the rigid mount keeps the load tracking straight at the rear. Glass-filled nylon is hard with no cushioning, so it transmits floor shock and can mark a soft surface, which makes this a strength-and-capacity caster for hard floors rather than a quiet one. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
