About This Caster - D4.04109.459 SS WB29
Go with this 4-inch Defender D4 swivel when a quiet cart needs to steer while carrying near the top of the soft-rubber range.
The swivel head steers the front of the cart, with a 3.375-inch swivel radius to allow, and the roller bearing gives that swivel the highest capacity of the three bearings, suited to slow, controlled travel under load. The grey flat-tread Performa wheel rolls quietly and leaves no mark, its flat profile giving a planted, stable feel in exchange for a little more swivel effort than a round tread. The stainless steel frame handles wet, corrosive bays. Soft rubber still carries less than a hard wheel, so this is for noise-sensitive areas maneuvering a somewhat heavier cart, not true heavy haulage. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
