About This Caster - D4.04108.929 SS WB29
Pick this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a heavy wash-down cart has to be floor-friendly and is pushed at a slow, steady pace.
The roller bearing is the heavy-haul choice in this group, carrying more weight than a ball or Delrin bearing as long as travel stays slow, which suits a loaded transfer cart. It runs Colson HI-TECH polyurethane on a polyolefin core, a non-marking tread that takes far more load than rubber, resists abrasion, and will not flat-spot under a parked weight, while protecting a finished floor instead of scarring it. The stainless steel frame stands up to corrosive, sprayed-down bays. Rigid means it tracks in a straight line at the back of the cart. It serves from -45 to 180°F. This is weight plus floor protection, without the noise of a hard wheel.
