About This Caster - 49JG42G-02
Set this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid on the fixed corners of a hand-pushed stainless cart where an easy roll matters as much as corrosion resistance.
The rig is stainless steel for daily wash-down, caustic cleaners, and the damp of a food or pharma plant. The wheel is Colson's Hi-Tech polyurethane on a polyolefin core, the ergonomic compound tuned for low rolling resistance, so a worker pushing a loaded cart by hand feels less drag than the tougher Eagle wheel asks for, and it stays non-marking on a finished floor. Being rigid it does not swivel, holding the line behind the steering corners on a straight pull. The pedestal precision ball bearing keeps it rolling from -45 to 180°F.
