The 5/8-11 thread is a bigger, coarser stem than the half-inch, so it threads into a heavier-built boss with the one-and-three-quarter-inch length seated deep, the polyolefin wheel shrugs off water and washdown where rubber would swell, and the ball bearing carries the load and rolls it with less push than a Delrin bore.
