About This Caster - 2.02254.445 MTG12 BRK1
Specify this 2.5-inch Performa rubber swivel with the top lock brake and fine 1/2-20 stem for the parking corner of a vibrating lab cart, the quiet caster whose fine thread holds against shake and whose pedal locks the wheel still.
A lab cart carrying a centrifuge or a shaker needs both a vibration-proof mount and a brake to hold it at the bench, and the fine 1/2-20 thread grips a fine-tapped leg against the shake while the top lock brake stops the wheel. The ball bearing carries the busy duty, and the soft Grey Performa rubber tread keeps it quiet and non-marking. At 2.5 inches it keeps a low deck. It is the vibration-resistant braked corner for a busy fine-tapped leg.
