About This Caster - 2.02254.445 COND MTG13
Choose this 2.5-inch conductive Performa rubber swivel with the 5/8-11 stem for a heavier static-safe cart in a paint area, the caster whose conductive tread prevents a spark while its larger stud reaches deep into a 5/8-tapped leg.
A paint-spray area is both ESD-sensitive and flammable, so the conductive tread bleeds charge off the cart to ground, and the 5/8-11 stud gives a heavier fabricated frame a deep, firm mount where the 1/2-inch studs would be undersized. The wheel keeps the quiet, non-marking Performa ride on a ball bearing. At 2.5 inches it stays maneuverable. It is the static-safe steering caster for a heavier cart on a 5/8-tapped leg.
