Pick this 50mm wheel when a tooling cart or machine base needs the high-load Extrathane tread on an 8mm axle and a little more diameter than the 35mm.
The 33mm tread is wider than the smallest VSTH, so it spreads a heavy load over more contact while the Extrathane polyurethane at 92 Shore A on a steel centre carries it, the combination that gives a wheel this compact its capacity. The firm tread keeps rolling resistance low so the base still moves under weight, and the steel centre seats on an 8mm axle with a ball bearing to keep it turning. The light-brown tread protects the floor and holds from -4 to 158°F.
Ideal applications
- 50mm machine bases on an 8mm axle under a heavy load
- Wider 33mm Extrathane tread spreading load over more contact
- Steel-centre wheel rolling easy where a soft wheel would crush
For a larger bore and diameter under a heavier axle, the 60mm VSTH 60/15K takes a 15mm shaft.
