About This Wheel - VPA 75/8G
Pick this 75mm wheel when a 50mm wheel is too small to clear a threshold but the cart does not need a full 100mm diameter.
The extra diameter over a 50mm wheel rolls over door tracks and floor seams with less effort, while staying compact enough to keep a deck low. The solid rubber tyre at 80 Shore A on a nylon 6 centre runs quiet and preserves the floor from -4 to 140°F, and the grey tread leaves no marks. It takes an 8mm axle on a plain bore bearing, the right pairing for a cart that is moved now and then rather than worked hard. Blickle finishes the tyre for low-noise service.
Ideal applications
- Carts that need more seam clearance than a 50mm wheel
- Mid-size 75mm builds kept low on an 8mm axle
- Occasional moves on finished floors, quiet running
When the cart is moved often, the ball-bearing VPA 80/8K rolls lighter at a slightly larger diameter.
Pairs with: an 8mm axle and a swivel or rigid fork for a 75mm wheel.
