About This Wheel - PPN 100/12G
Fit this 100mm polypropylene wheel to a light cart in a wet or chemical area where the wheel has to shrug off splashes and wash-downs.
The wheel is high-quality polypropylene at hardness 60 Shore D, an economical hard plastic with very high resistance to water, cleaning chemicals, and most solvents, which is its main reason to choose over a nylon wheel. It rolls and swivels with low resistance, though as a hard wheel it offers no cushioning and carries less than the denser nylon wheels. It runs on a plain bore and takes a 12mm axle. One thing to watch: polypropylene is rated to 140°F, lower than nylon, so keep it out of higher-heat areas. It holds from -4 to 140°F.
Ideal applications
- 100mm polypropylene wheel under a light wash-down cart
- 37mm chemical-resistant tread on a 12mm plain bore
- Economical low-resistance wheel for a wet or chemical area
For a higher temperature ceiling and more load, a nylon wheel of the same size steps up.
Pairs with: a matching swivel or rigid bracket sized to the 12mm axle bore.
