Choose this 200mm Blickle L swivel caster when a hand-steered cart needs a cushioned solid-rubber wheel and a drum brake an operator controls from the handle.

The brake is a drum brake operated as a dead-man control: it works through a hand lever so the operator manages braking from the push handle, holding the loaded cart on slopes and stops. The wheel is an elastic solid rubber tyre on a cast iron centre, which cushions the ride and rolls quietly like an air tyre but is solid, so it never goes flat. The grey rubber is non-marking and easy on floors, while the cast iron core carries the load. The medium-duty L-series pressed-steel swivel bracket mounts on a 100 by 85 millimetre top plate at a low 102 millimetre height, and it holds from -4 to 176°F.
