The wheel is high-quality cast nylon at hardness 80 Shore D, a dense reaction-cast material that carries a very high load and rolls with low resistance. Its 55mm tread is wider than a standard 100mm wheel, which spreads the weight over more contact area and steadies a top-heavy or heavily loaded cart. As a hard wheel it offers no cushioning, runs louder than rubber, and belongs on smooth concrete rather than rough or sensitive floors. It runs on a ball bearing, takes a 25mm axle, and holds from -4 to 176°F.
