About This Caster - BO-ALTH 250K
Choose this 250mm Blickle BO rigid caster when a heavy straight-line cart needs a large wheel that rolls with low effort and still protects the floor.
The bracket is a BO-series solid welded steel fork, Blickle's top tier for demanding loads, zinc-plated for corrosion resistance. The wheel pairs a Blickle Extrathane polyurethane tread over a die-cast aluminum center, a combination that carries heavy loads, rolls with low resistance, and resists the chunking and flat-spotting that wear out softer treads. The polyurethane runs quieter than cast iron, cushions more, and stays non-marking on finished floors, while the aluminum center keeps the wheel lighter than an iron-core wheel and will not rust. The wheel runs on a ball bearing for easy starting under load, and the tall 250mm size clears thresholds and floor seams. The fixed fork tracks straight on a 140 by 110 millimetre top plate at a 295 millimetre mount height, and it holds from -4 to 158°F.
