About This Caster - 62MR08407R
Set this 8-inch 62 Series rigid on the back corners of the biggest heavy quiet cart that needs a wide footprint, the mold-on rubber on cast iron caster whose iron core carries the load on a wide 2-1/2-inch tread on the tallest wheel.
A polypropylene-core rubber wheel deforms under a heavy industrial load; the 62 Series mold-on rubber tread is bonded to a cast iron core that holds its shape under far more weight, the wide 2-1/2-inch tread spreads that load across more rubber, and the 8-inch diameter rolls over expansion joints and dock plates quiet and non-marking. The roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, the rigid fork holds the line, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.
