About This Caster - 62FM05201R
Set this 5-inch 62 Series rigid on the back corners of a cart that takes hard hits in heat, the ductile iron flat-tread caster whose forged wheel absorbs the shock where grey cast iron cracks and the flat tread tracks the load straight.
Grey cast iron is hard but brittle and can crack on a heavy impact; the 62 Series ductile iron wheel is forged to take the hit without cracking and rolls through heat to 800°F, and the flat tread lays the full 2-inch width down for straight tracking under a heavy load. The roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, the rigid fork holds the line, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.
Ideal applications
- Back corners of carts that take hard impacts in heat
- Forged wheel that resists cracking where grey iron splits
- Flat tread tracking a heavy load to 800°F
On a finished floor or where noise carries, this iron tread is the wrong pick; it marks and runs loud, so the mold-on rubber 62MR05201R keeps the same iron-core load quiet.
Pairs with: the round-tread 62FR05201R rigid where the cart turns more.
Wrong fit? Need a quieter tread, or a round tread for turning? See the mold-on rubber 62MR05201R and the round-tread 62FR05201R.
Also in this family: the 62 Series collection, or the full Albion caster collection.

What our customers say
Excellent service! Outstanding quality castors.
Great customer service and casters!
Great service, friendly staff and quality product.
Excellent all inclusive selection. Was able to use their product search to easily and accurately purchase two pieces of Seperate but related pieces of hardware. Product shipped and tracked per UPS and arrived in a timely manner while packaged and in good condition. Product quality is excellent especially given price was a very reasonable.
Purchased Blickle casters from W.T. Hight Company. Rated 5/5.
Long story short, we purchased an under-counter freezer that was too tall and needed the casters taken off. However, I had no idea how to do that so a quick Google led me to W.T. Hight and the customer representative, Lemuga, was super patient and walked me through the process! Although we didn't purchase anything this time, their customer service was wonderful and we will be keeping this company on our radar for all things casters!
I had an amazing experience with W.T. Hight Company! I purchased casters for my equipment, and the quality was outstanding — sturdy, reliable, and exactly what I needed. The customer service was top-notch; they were incredibly patient and walked me through the entire process to ensure I got the right fit. Highly recommended.
