About This Caster - 310FR08501R
Set this 8-inch ductile iron rigid on a fixed corner of a heavy foundry or oven cart that crosses rough hot floors on a long run.
At 8 inches the larger wheel rolls over expansion joints and debris with the least effort on a haul, and the ductile iron metal wheel carries the highest loads and holds from -100 to 800°F for furnace and freezer duty. The trade is that an iron wheel is hard, noisy, and damages a soft floor, so it belongs on bare concrete or steel. It is built on the American-made 310 frame of heat-treated laser-cut steel with fully welded legs and no kingpin to fail. It rides on a roller bearing, bolts on a 6-1/4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate, and as a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners.
