About This Caster - 18NX08228S
Set this 8-inch ergonomic nylon swivel on a steering corner of the heaviest hot-area cart that operators steer long distances all shift.
The ergonomic payoff is biggest here: the sealed, maintenance-free precision swivel bearing significantly reduces the force to turn the heaviest loaded cart, and at 8 inches the large wheel rolls over seams while staying maneuverable. The black nylon wheel adds the heat and chemical resistance the polyurethane version lacks, holding up to 220°F, with the trade that a hard wheel gives no cushioning and can be hard on a soft floor. The zinc-plated frame resists corrosion. It steers on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 9-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -30 to 220°F.
