About This Caster - 170RT05201SFBBL
Reach for this 5-inch Empire 170 swivel with combined face brake and swivel lock when a wet-area cart has to steer, then park dead still.
This is the total-lock build: the face brake stops the wheel and the swivel lock holds the swivel, so a loaded cart cannot roll or rotate when set. The wheel is glass-filled polypropylene, a stiff reinforced plastic rated -20 to 250°F that resists washdown chemicals and corrosion. It is hard with no cushioning, rolls cleanly on smooth floors, and can mark, and at 5 inches it carries up to 1,000 pounds on a roller bearing for manual pushing. The swivel turns on a kingpinless welded raceway with no central pin to loosen, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 6-1/2-inch mount height, and is zinc plated.

- Steering 5-inch cart up to 250°F locked against roll and rotation
