About This Caster - 170CA08201S01
Set this 8-inch Empire 170 cast iron swivel on a steering corner of the heaviest foundry or oven cart that maneuvers across the worst hot floors.
The kingpinless welded raceway carries the heavy shock an 8-inch iron-wheel cart drives through a swivel without a central kingpin to fail, and at 8 inches the large wheel clears the biggest obstacles while staying maneuverable. The cast iron wheel holds from -100 to 800°F where rubber and poly cannot go, with the trade that it is hard, noisy, and damages a soft floor, so it belongs on bare concrete or steel. It runs on a roller bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 9-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -100 to 800°F.
