About This Caster - 170AX06228SFBBL
Set this 6-inch Empire 170 swivel with a combined face brake and swivel lock on an economical cart corner that has to steer, then lock down completely.
This is the value total-lock version: a face brake stops the wheel and a swivel lock holds the swivel, so a loaded cart parks dead still instead of drifting. The AX build brings kingpinless durability and up to 1,000 pounds of capacity at this size, and at 6 inches it rolls over seams while steering. The maroon round-profile polyurethane tread is non-marking and easy-rolling on a lightweight aluminum core. It steers on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 7-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
