About This Caster - 16CA08201S
Choose this 8-inch 16 Series swivel for the front of a forge or billet cart, the cast iron caster whose tall wheel steers through heat to 800°F over the worst hot floor while carrying the heaviest load.
Rubber gives by 180°F and phenolic chars past 250°F; the 16 Series cast iron wheel carries the highest load and steers through radiant heat to 800°F, and the 8-inch diameter rolls over expansion joints, scale, and broken concrete that stop a smaller wheel. The roller bearing carries the load at a walk, and the 4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. USA-made for fast shipping.

Skip the cast iron wheel if the floor is finished or noise matters; it marks the floor and runs loud, so a polyurethane 16EG08201S rolls non-marking and quiet under load.
