About This Caster - 03XN02028S001C
Specify this Albion 03 Series air-cargo swivel for a freight loading deck or conveyor where ramp grit and de-ice fluid would pack an open-bearing caster solid, because the precision ball bearings in both the swivel and the wheel are double sealed against exactly that.
A cargo-handling caster lives in debris: an open swivel and wheel bearing grind to a stop as ramp dirt and runway chemicals work in, and a stalled caster drags a container off its track. Albion seals the bearings on both ends, so the swivel keeps turning and the wheel keeps rolling under a loaded unit. The white nylon wheel stays tough and non-marking down to -40°F in an unheated hold, and the yellow dichromate finish holds off the corrosion that weather and de-ice spray bring to bare steel.
