Specify the TE1-10C when a 2-inch schedule 10 pipe leg has to carry a heavier 5/8-11 foot, a brass insert whose coarse, deep thread holds the setting under load that a fine thread would slowly back loose.

The coarse 5/8-11 thread is the point at this weight: more thread engagement per turn means a loaded pipe frame holds its level instead of creeping down as it vibrates. Cutting that thread straight into the schedule 10 wall would strip it, since the pipe is too thin to hold deep threads. The brass body carries the full thread depth and spreads the stud's load into the pipe end. It also stays corrosion-free in the sealed leg, where a steel insert rusts and locks the stud.

Ideal applications

• Loaded pipe frame that must hold level as it vibrates
• Schedule 10 leg needing a deep thread the pipe wall cannot cut
• Heavier pipe rack leveled with a 5/8-11 stud

Skip the TE1-10C if the leg is 1-1/2 inch round tube; the TE1-1C is sized for that tube with the same 5/8-11 thread.
