Choose this 1-inch machined ball transfer when the mounting calls for a 5/16-18 stud with a little more reach and a tighter, machined housing.
The carbon-steel load ball rides on a bed of smaller steel balls so a load on top moves any direction and spins in place. What sets this one apart is the machined body, a turned housing that holds the ball with a closer, cleaner fit than a formed cup, and a 5/16-18 stud three-quarters of an inch long, longer than the standard 11/16 stud so it reaches through a slightly thicker mount. The carbon-steel ball is built for a dry indoor table.
