Choose this 1-inch ball transfer when the table is tapped for a 3/8-16 stud, the largest mounting thread in this stud group.

The carbon-steel load ball rides on a bed of smaller steel balls in a housing, letting a box or panel on top move forward, sideways, or rotate in place rather than be lifted and re-aimed. The 3/8-16 threaded stud an inch long is the coarsest, beefiest of the three stud sizes, so it threads into a heavier tapped boss or a thicker plate where a finer stud would feel undersized. The carbon-steel ball is built for a dry indoor table and would rust on a wet line.
