Spec this 1-1/2-inch ball transfer when the loads are heavy enough to want the largest ball and a four-bolt flange to hold it.

The 1-1/2-inch carbon-steel load ball is the biggest in this group, and a larger ball both carries more and bridges seams and gaps in a table that a 1-inch ball would drop into. It rides on a bed of smaller steel balls so a heavy box, die, or panel still moves any direction and turns in place with a push. The four-hole flange on a 3 by 3-inch pattern bolts down at four corners for a rigid mount that handles the heavier load. The carbon-steel ball suits a dry indoor table.
