About This Nose Plate - M12022
This 14-inch cast aluminum nose plate is the toe of a hand truck, the recessed plate that slides under a box or a drum and carries the load while the operator tips the truck back, sized at 14 inches for narrower loads.
The nose plate takes the most abuse on a hand truck: it is forced under loads, scraped on floors, and bent by drops, and a tweaked plate no longer slides clean or sits flat under the cargo. Cast aluminum is the right answer here because it is light enough not to add to the operator's lift yet stiff enough to resist the bend that a thin stamped plate takes. The recessed shape lets it tuck under low loads. Bolt it on as a replacement when the original plate is bent, cracked, or worn at the leading edge.
