About This Caster Fork - 41V42I-01

This is the swivel fork for a 4-inch by 2-inch wheel, the steel yoke and raceway you add a wheel and axle to when you build a steering caster or replace a swivel rig whose bearing has gone notchy.

The raceway is the wear point a rigid fork does not have: once the swivel bearing pits or packs with grit, the caster steers stiff, shimmies at speed, and fights every turn. Dropping the wheel into a fresh swivel fork brings back the smooth lead-and-follow that keeps a cart tracking the operator instead of wandering. This is the steering version, for the corners that have to turn, usually paired diagonally with rigid forks on a four-wheel cart.
