About This Caster - 410TM08501R

Set this 8-inch 410 Series rigid on the back corners of a hot, heavy cart that works near ovens or oily floors, where a poly tread softens and smears and a kingpin shears under the load.

The phenolic wheel is a hard resin tread that holds its shape through heat and oil where polyurethane fails, taking -65 to 250°F and 300°F in short bursts, which suits foundry, oven, and heat-treat lines. The 410 Contender frame is kingpinless, riding a heat-treated raceway with no kingpin to shear under a forklift bump. As the rigid version it tracks straight under a tow, on a large 7-1/4 by 5-1/4 inch top plate with a 3-inch tread that spreads the heaviest load.
