About This Caster - 410PD08501R

Set this 8-inch 410 Series rigid on the back corners of the heaviest cart on a finished floor, where a lighter caster's kingpin shears under the shock and a bare metal wheel gouges the floor.

The 410 Contender is Albion's heaviest-duty kingpinless line: the frame deletes the threaded kingpin and rides a heat-treated raceway, so the side load from a forklift bump or a shifting load cannot shear it the way it kills a kingpin caster. The wheel is polyurethane, non-marking and floor-friendly, carrying a heaviest-duty load from -40 to 180°F. As the rigid version it tracks straight under a tow, on a large 7-1/4 by 5-1/4 inch top plate and a 3-inch-wide tread that spreads the load.

• Non-marking poly on a 410 kingpinless frame, no kingpin to shear
