About This Washer - P10255

This is the flush metal retaining washer, the 3/4 by 1-3/16 cap that seats level with the hub face instead of standing proud, for wheels where a recessed or tight-clearance hub needs the washer to sit flush.

The flush profile is the difference: on hubs that are counterbored or that run close to the yoke leg, a standard raised washer rubs or will not let the wheel seat square, while this one drops in level and holds the bearing without fouling the leg. It does the same job as the standard retaining washer, capping the bearing and setting the wheel's side clearance, but in the tighter envelope. Replace it with the bearing on any wheel that called for a flush washer the first time, since a standard one will not fit the recess.
