Wheels

A replacement wheel is the rolling component only, without the fork, swivel housing, or mounting hardware. Replacement wheels are used to rebuild worn casters or to build custom caster assemblies by pairing a wheel with a separate rig or fork. Complete casters include both the wheel and the mounting assembly ready to install.

Measure the outer diameter of the existing wheel, the tread width, and the bore diameter (the hole through the center). You will also need to know the bearing type. These four measurements will identify the correct replacement. If you have a part number from the original wheel, our team can cross-reference it.

For smooth concrete, polyurethane wheels offer the best combination of floor protection, load capacity, and rolling ease. For rough or cracked concrete, rubber or solid elastomer wheels absorb shock better and handle surface irregularities. For extremely heavy loads on concrete, nylon or phenolic wheels provide the highest capacity without flat-spotting.

It is generally not recommended. Different materials have different rolling resistances and load characteristics, which can cause uneven wear and tracking problems. If you need different properties at different positions, consult our technical team for a compatible pairing.
