About This Caster - ER5X2CIR
Set this 5-inch cast iron rigid on the back corners of a high-heat or heavy plant cart that wants a mid deck height.
The solid cast iron wheel holds up from -40 to 600°F, so it keeps rolling on an oven, heat-treat, or foundry cart where rubber or poly would soften, and carries a high load for an E-Line caster. At 5 inches it sits between the compact 4-inch and the tall 6-inch. Being rigid it tracks straight behind the steering corners. The trade is a hard, noisy wheel that damages a soft floor, so it suits bare concrete. It runs on a roller bearing and bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate.
Ideal applications
- Back corners of 5-inch high-heat carts at a mid deck height
- Cast iron rolling to 600°F where rubber or poly would fail
- Rigid tracking straight on bare concrete at 5 inches
To stop the wheel rolling once parked, the tread-lock ER5X2CIRTBK adds a brake.
