About This Caster - SS-06TPX-125-DL-TP01
Specify this 6-inch stainless swivel for a bed or heavy cart that wanders when pushed down a long corridor, where the staff need it to track dead straight without fighting the steering the whole way.
The directional lock is the difference: it locks the swivel head straight so the caster runs like a fixed wheel down the hall, then releases to swivel freely for maneuvering in the room. It does not brake the wheel, so it is not for parking. The stainless construction handles daily disinfection, and the grey non-marking rubber tread on a polyolefin core keeps the roll quiet on hospital vinyl.
