Specify this 5-inch solid polyurethane wheel for a wash-down cart whose bonded-tread wheels keep delaminating in the chemicals, because this wheel is Grey polyurethane all the way through with no bond line for the wash to attack.

A tread-on-core wheel fails at the bond, and a chemical wash works the polyurethane loose from its hub until the tread spins or peels. The solid wheel has no such seam, so the whole cross-section carries the load and nothing can debond, even under repeated caustic or solvent contact. It stays non-marking and tough in the cold to -50°F, which suits freezers and wet plants alike, and the wide 2-inch tread on a roller bearing carries a real load through slow moves. It runs heavier than a cored wheel of the same size.
