About This Caster - AS40T2PODSB
Use this 4-inch A-line swivel on a deep threaded socket where the cart rolls and then has to stay put on a sloped or busy floor.
The 1-1/2-inch threaded stem bites deeper into a tapped boss or a thick leg for a more positive hold than a short stem, and a side brake adds a lever that presses a shoe on the wheel to stop it rolling while the swivel stays free. The wheel is a hard polyolefin on a polypropylene core that resists moisture from -45 to 180°F, and the Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free. It is the deep-stem braked corner of the A-line.
Ideal applications
- Deep 1/2-13 sockets needing more thread and a wheel brake
- Thick-frame carts that park on a grade or in traffic
- Deep-stem hard wheels held by a side brake, swivel free
If the corner only rolls, the plain deep-stem AS40T2POD drops the brake.
