About This Caster - 493-5RBTG
Set this 5-inch grey rubber swivel with a brake on a heavier service cart that travels longer runs and must hold its spot when parked.
The grey rubber tread is non-marking and cushions the load, running quietly over finished floors, while a Rollock foot brake locks the wheel so a loaded cart stays put on a ramp or during loading. It steers on a precision ball bearing for a smooth swivel, and as the largest braked size here it clears thresholds that smaller wheels catch. At 5 inches with a 6-1/8-inch mount height it bolts on a 2-7/8 by 3-5/8-inch zinc top plate and holds from -40 to 180°F.
