Pick this 8-inch Defender D4 rigid when a quiet, non-marking cart must ride over the roughest floors while carrying near the top of the soft-rubber range, pushed slowly.
The roller bearing carries the most weight of the three bearings at a slow pace, and it runs a grey flat-tread Performa wheel that rolls quietly and protects finished floors, its flat profile giving a planted footprint. At 8 inches it is the tallest wheel in the line, bridging the widest cracks and clearing the biggest obstacles, on a stainless steel frame for corrosion. Even with the roller bearing, soft rubber tops out below a hard wheel, so this is for noise-sensitive areas that want a little more load on bad floors. Rigid means it tracks straight at the rear. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
