About This Caster - D4.04108.921 EG SS
Bolt this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid to the back corners of a cart that gets washed down daily, where a zinc-plated caster would rust out at the rivets and stain the floor within a season.
The Defender D4 is built in stainless construction, so the rig itself stands up to water, cleaning chemicals, and the daily hose-down that destroys plated steel. As a rigid it tracks the cart straight while the front swivels steer. The wheel is Colson HI-TECH polyurethane on a polyolefin core, non-marking and corrosion-proof, on a maintenance-free Delrin bearing that will not seize in a wet environment.
Ideal applications
- Food-processing and prep carts in daily wash-down, rear corners, tiled floor
- Dairy and beverage line carts on the back corners, daily sanitation, sealed floor
- Wet-area transport where plated casters corrode, multi-shift
Skip the rigid if the corner needs to steer; a rigid tracks straight only, so pair it with the D4 swivel on the steering corners.
