About This Wheel - SVS 80/20K

Choose this 80mm wheel when the load is extreme, the floor is hard, and a polyurethane or rubber wheel would crush under the weight.

The wheel is solid machined heat-treatable steel at 190 to 230 HB, an extra-heavy-duty wheel that carries a load no rubber or poly wheel its size could take, and on a hard floor or a steel rail it rolls with extremely low resistance, so a very heavy machine base or die moves with surprisingly little effort. The tread is slightly crowned for easy steering and lightly oiled for rust protection, and it holds from -4 to 248°F. The trade is that steel is hard and noisy and will damage a soft or finished floor, so it suits steel plate, rail, or bare concrete.

Ideal applications

• 80mm extreme-load machine bases and dies on hard floors or rails
• Solid heat-treatable steel rolling with very low resistance
• Slightly crowned tread for easy steering on steel plate or concrete
