Use this 80mm load roller, the wide 70mm version, on a heavy pallet truck whose tandem load wheels carry the full pallet weight, where a narrow roller cuts into the floor and wears its edges off fast.

The extra tread width spreads the load across a bigger contact patch, so the roller floats a heavy pallet over the floor instead of plowing a line into it, and it puts off the edge-chunking that retires a thin roller. The tread is Blickle Extrathane polyurethane chemically bonded to a steel centre, which keeps the bond intact under the repeated entry impact of the forks dropping onto a board.

• Tandem load wheels on heavy hand and powered pallet trucks, warehouse concrete
• High-cycle pick routes where roller edge wear is the failure point, multi-shift
• Pallet handling on hard floors that a narrow roller scores

Skip the wide roller if the truck's wheel wells are sized for a narrow tread; the 75x40 or 80x40 HTH rollers fit the standard single-width pockets.
